Sanford Plumbing Selected to Handle Backflow Inspections for Beaver Creek State Park

June 19th 2025

The Buckeye Water District Board of Trustees has awarded Sanford Plumbing a contract to conduct critical backflow inspections at Beaver Creek State Park and other district facilities. The decision, made at the board's June 19, 2025 meeting, highlights Sanford Plumbing's trusted reputation and expertise in maintaining safe public water systems.

Backflow prevention is essential to ensuring that contaminants cannot enter drinking water supplies. It requires specialized testing equipment and technicians certified to identify, repair, and maintain backflow prevention devices. Sanford Plumbing brings decades of local experience and professional certification to this work, providing peace of mind to both the water district and park visitors.

District Manager Al DeAngelis praised the move, explaining how these inspections will also support a more accurate inventory of fire hydrants and water control devices. "This way we will have a better way of finding out which hydrants are working, which hydrants aren't working, what needs done and we will have an updated inventory on the hydrants," DeAngelis said.

Sanford Plumbing, which has served the region since 1947, is well‑known for its plumbing supply expertise and hands‑on service. Their role in this project reflects the growing importance of skilled local contractors in protecting Ohio's water infrastructure and ensuring safe, clean water for the community.
